[Random Post] Are You Ready For 2012? Diary and Calendars

Christmas is coming within a week (and so is New Year's Day within few weeks)
so I purchased this diary and calendars and wanted to share these with you!

Diary

Calendar

Weekly Scheduler (=calendar)

Photobook

This was just a picture scrapbook

Before I begin, I just want to let you know that I'm not promoting this brand. I really loved the photographer who made these calendars and diaries and I just wanted to share with you because I previously had really good comments with this year's calendar (2011). Indeed, I will NOT post a link to the website but if you want to know, leave a comment below with your e-mail address where I can privately send you a link to where you can purchase these.

Weekly Calendar

What I really love about this calendar is that you can really have those views of Paris on your desk. Although it was two years ago, I still remember my trip to Paris and the whole city appeared to be just as artistic as these. With the frame's vintage colours, this calendar gives that stylishness to the calendar and the views of Paris.

Monthly Calendar

If the weekly calendar had the views of the Paris, this one captures more scenes from the restaurants or cafes. In contrast to the previous calendar, this one has more of the modern vintage feel to it.

Diary

Last year, I purchased another diary from Bamsamkinbyul (this is the one who took pictures of the scenery and made them into calendars and diaries) before and she released a new one for this year as well. Unlike last year's that had many pictures of monumental buildings such as the Eiffel Tower and Louvre museum (just like the weekly calendar), this one had more of the vintage scenes from the cafes that seems to be more of the modern vintage (just like the monthly calendar). I still like the diary nonetheless but I just prefer the old one better.

So I'm definitely loaded for next year :D...and, since I'm heading to the States, I hope you have a marvelous holiday season! I will return with new posts! (...unless.. I have some time to post some pictures or tutorials :()

[Collective Haul] Yesstyle, eBay, Ardene, Sephora, Urban Decay, Jack Black, and Biotherm

Ardene

Beret is my current obsession I bought this Burgundy beret and another from Forever21.
They are so chic but also totally necessary when you are trying to live in Canada :P

Yesstyle

I made a few purchases from Yesstyle.com (of which I highly regret).
They had  some Korean clothes that I've seen back in August that
Koreans have sold (or are still selling) in stores or online.

The website costs twice as much and I really wish I didn't make these purchases.
I really wish I checked the website more thoroughly so that I can realize this fact but
the realization hit me AFTER I made these purchases so...ugh.

Plus, they advertize about FREE SHIPPING with $150 or more
and guess what.... I had to pay $64 dollars per FedEx box,
which cost me $130~140 just for getting these shipped.
Ugh.

eBay
NO INFRINGEMENT INTENDED

I forgot to take a picture of this dress but this is what I bought.
And it came with a pair of earrings like so. I don't like the earrings but
I'm totally satisfied with the dress. It's amazing.

NO INFRINGEMENT INTENDED

I also bought this one but this really emphasizes your chest area and
......i'm not getting into this.

Sephora
I know that there was a F&F sale back in November but I really had NO TIME
so I hit Sephora right after when I received that $20 (or was it $15?) coupon.

NAKED PALETTE
I know NAKED2 was coming but as soon as I saw Frmheadtotoe's review,
I decidedly bought this one (it's my first NAKED palette FYI) and
I'm perfectly proud. I'm not planning on purchasing NAKED2 anyway.

Biotherm 24h Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel
This is my second bottle and I absolutely love it!
I had a second thought of purchasing a Clinique one,
but I still prefer this one over Clinique. For sure.
(Clinique one feels slightly sticky and it feels 100% dried,
leaving your skin smooth. Definitely leaning towards the pricier side.)

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Lemon & Chamomile
This is my current obsession since the moment of my purchase.
I really didn't want to try the tester one since I don't trust what other people
have done to it (they might have tried it after a slice of greasy pizza or.. whatever)
so I purchased it, really without thinking. $7.50 + tax for 7g lip balm is horrifying but
it's worth every penny you spend. I've been using this every single day (about two to
three weeks now....?) but I love it soooooo much. This is my holy grail for now on.

Duty Free

This is what I apply after my Biotherm Aquasource 24h hydration replenishing gel and
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I'VE NEVER REVIEWED ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll review about this product asap. This is one of the permanent items on my skincare routine that I can never forget about. I asked my mom to purchase this because these
are U$150 for two as a combined set. I love this so much.

I also bought a 88 palette from BHcosmetics but they sent me the matte one instead of shimmer one so I have to return it. I'll take a picture of it later when the shimmer one comes back.

And I guess that's all for my collective haul :(
I hope it was helpful and I'll talk to you guys later :D

[China Glaze] Holiday-Themed Nail Polishes & Recommended Holiday Look

I made small purchases from a website in search for my holiday nail polishes.

They came in a small box like so.

I was surprised to see how nicely secured the bubble wraps were.

I also received a candy cane :D

These are the nail polishes that I'm going to review about...

Ingrid
This is a transparent milk chocolate shade nail polish that requires more than one coat.
I was expecting quite much about this nail polish so I wasn't totally satisfied with it.
Second coat looks much opaque.

Nova
I wasn't planning on making this purchase because it alone looked....... out of space...?
Well, I guess that's why this is called "Nova" (cheesy joke!) but what I meant was that
it wasn't working alone. It needed something.

To give you a short description of this nail polish,
it is translucent nail polish with large glitter particles.
If you are planning on wearing this alone, two or even three coats will be necessary.
Make sure to add a top coat because it feels a bit rough :(

Tinsel Town
This is the main reason why I ended up making these purchases :D
It is a light black nail polish with small and medium-sized glitters.
What really looks wonderful is that, after applying two coats of Tinsel Town,
your nails will look like miniatures of starry winter night sky!

(Two coats are enough but three can't go wrong!)

"C-C-Courage" (What a cute name!)
This is the only nail polish that I haven't tried.
It's a dark violet nail polish with silverish violet glitter.

Suggestion for Holiday Look

Have Two coats of Tinsel Town

And add a coat of of Nova on top

and... i didn't know i made a mistake until i reviewed these pictures...

And that's what I got :
Two coats of Tinsel Town and one coat of Nova
(Doesn't this look nice? Two coats of Tinsel Town look sparkly enough
with small and medium-sized glitter particles but another coat of Nova
gives that extra dimension with its large glitter.)

I bought Nova just because it came as one of the look-alike's or recommendations
but uhhhh....... I guess some people reviewed about this already.....?
(As I finished writing about this recommendation, I searched on the internet and..damn..)
Opps.. so I guess goes to the ones who didn't know this technique....?
But this really suits the holiday theme so sorry if this was a review for you :(

I hope this can give you some idea of what to wear for christmas!
I'll come back with more reviews and tutorials so stay tuned!

[Tutorial] Bold Navy Cat-Eye Look

1. Apply a primer all over your eyes.

2. Use either White As Snow or Silver Sleet as on the inner half of the lid.
Mix your pigments with mixing medium the pigment as much as possible, if you are using White As Snow.
The silver glitter falls everywhere. Take a blending brush and blend most of it out so that it looks natural
but if you want a bit more of that drama to go on, do not blend it out too much.
I also applied White As Snow on the lower centre lid.

3. Apply Blue Sky and create that cat-eye shape on the outer corners of your eyes.
Blend Blue Sky on the outer half of the lid and blend well with White As Snow.

4. Keep the lines sharp and crisp. Wipe off any excess.

5. Line your upper lashline and curl your lashes. I skipped the lower lashline because it was too much drama for me but it is totally up to you if you want that full drama.
