[Haul] Missha, Accessorize, The Face Shop, L'Occitane etc.

I know I've posted quite often (1-2 posts per day) since I created this blog but I'm getting busier and busier everyday since I'm going back to Canada. So, please forgive me for delaying my BB cream post. I really wanna give a proper feedback about the ones that I have. I'm also writing about my Dior Addict To Life and July Hits and Misses so please stay tuned!

But until then, here's my haul :)

Accessorize

This is a hairband from Accessorize with white pearls and synthetic diamonds. I think I'm reeeeeeally into hairbands nowadays and I don't think there's specific style to it. Some are classy, some are cute, some are formal. For this hairhand, I think it fits to more of the "cute" side.

Random Things (Don't know where they are from)

This is a hairband for my 8-year-old cousin... very simple but cute. I just knew that this was for my cousin as soon as it came to my sight.

These are for my mom and I :) I wanted to buy something that we can both use and my choice was hairband.

Random make-up pouch timmmmmmmmmmmme :)
If you have seen my previous haul, you would know that I LOVE Eiffel Tower.
This pouch was less than $10 and OHEMGEE it was totally worth it.

This pair of earrings remind me of my ring from previous haul...

This one!

Yes, my earrings and ring are from the same boutique.
I think I'll match them both for a formal event.
This pair has authentic diamonds (again).

My another obsession after hairband is pearl.
I always thought pearl is for older ladies but I somehow began to love pearls.
I guess this is the sign of getting oooooooooooooooooooooold... ohemgee :o

Yes, I guess I have to agree with the fact that I'm into pearls. I'm thinking of coding this one with loooooooong pearl necklace.

I've always one of these dyed skirts for summer but I've never got to purchase one until know.

This would be the actual colour of the skirt

The Face Shop

Ladies, you HAVE to purchase this deodorant spray if you get to visit Korea.
This one is an absolute MUST-HAVE item..........if you like baby powder scent.
I'm totally into this deodorant; I first purchased this one three years ago and came back to purchase it again. It lasts all day and smells LOVELY :')

Samples :) again, come to Korea if you want A LOT OF SAMPLES!

 Missha

Missha has been having their 1+1 sale so I purchased a base-coat and a top-coat, so that I can force myself to do my nails (I've never tried and I'm reaaally lazy). I also purchased a back-up for my duo eyeshadow. (If you want my review and swatches about Missha eyeshadows, please follow this link: http://benefitter.blogspot.com/2011/08/missha-eyeshadow-swatches-review.html) What you see on the very right is a bag of eye-patch (to moisturize your eye area) with a sample of sunblock and BB cream. The random bottle is for nail polish remover. You open the cap and press down the bottle to get cotton wet with nail polish.

L'Occitane

This was a gift from someone that I knew since I was a little baby :)

This is what's in the packaging...

It contains a 75ml body lotion, lip balm, hand cream and foot cream.
I was going to purchase a body lotion as well as hand cream at duty-free
but she somehow knew that I needed them :)

I'll post a review on each item!

And this will be the end of my haul. I hope you enjoyed it and if you have any question, please leave a comment below or on Twitter @CDistrict900212.

[Miscellaneous] Korean celebrities :)

I attended "Play With Us" concert and IU was there on last Friday.

We weren't allowed to take pictures, so no IU pictures. Sorry.

On Saturday, I attended Music Core (Eumak Joongsim) Infinite, 2NE1, Rainbow, Miss A, and Super Junior.

I wasn't sure but I think Super Junior came out with their latest album and sang two songs, including "Mr. Simple". I was really uncomfortable to be surrounded by a bunch of crazily screaming fans but it was a great experience!

I became a fan of Super Junior because they were the last ones to perform and, although the first half was filmed ahead of time, they still performed throughout the whole song for the fans. Also, the leader guy (don't know his name... i'm trying to catch up though) bowed to the fans until he disappeared to the backstage. He kept waving and bowing and I felt sorry for sneering at SJ fans before ;'( I love Super Junior now!

* I wasn't allowed to take pictures for neither of the two concerts :'(
Music Core was more of the harsh one where body guards took the girls out of the concert hall and took their cameras from them. I was very surprised. And I was once again surprised to see so many non-Koreans cheering :D

[Missha] Eyeshadow Swatches & Review

(I bought these five and bought the next three few days later)

Hey everyone :)

Missha recently had their huge sale and I madly purchased square-shaped eyeshadows (not including the duos). So, I decided to do quick swatches and to review my Missha eyeshadow collection in case you are interested.

So let's begin, shall we?

GPP01 ( Missha The Style Shine Pearl Shadow ) :

As you can tell, GPP01 is EXTREMELY shimmery and DOES accentuate wrinkles once it is applied on eyelids. To make the story even worse, pink eyeshadow makes your eyes look reeeeeeeally puffy (and thus, you have to incorporate this eyeshadow with another eyeshadow of darker shade). However, if you are someone who can manage of all those problems and still love this eyeshadow colour, great. give it a try.
To complain more about it, it is very shear and doesn't last that long. Within 30min~1hr, you basically don't have anything left but shimmer all around your eyes. THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE NO-NO: quality that matches the price though.

Quality: ☆ (0.5/5)

VL03 ( Missha The Style Metallic Shadow ) :

This eyeshadow was my least favourite. With extreme amount of shimmer, this eyeshadow seems to have no colour or shade whatsoever once it is spread out. You have the choice of packing it on your eyelids but it doesn't last more than 2 hours. This was my absolute NO-NO but, again, such quality was what I was expecting from such price.

Quality:☆ (0.5/5)

KH01 ( Missha The Style Metallic Shadow ) :

This was my MOST FAVOURITE eyeshadow from Missha. The colour lies in between grey and khaki so I think everyone can work it, if they are okay with metallic eyeshadows, of course.

I didn't like metallic eyeshadows until I gave it a try from Missha..

To explain more pros about this eyeshadow, it lasted all day for me (10+ hours on my oily eyelids on one of the humid days in Seoul) and it was amazing for a $2.50-eyeshadow (price before sale: around 4000WON, $4). It was very smooth and highly-pigmented as well. My friends complimented about this eyeshadow and almost everyone (who is interested in make-up) asked me about this product. I really have nothing to complain about this eyeshadow. I'm wearing it almost everyday now and still love it. I purchased a back-up and still think of buying another back-up.

Quality: ★★★★★ (5/5), just because that's the maximum rating i can give.

SPK01 ( Missha The Style Shine Pearl Shadow ) :
This was my only "Shine Pearl" eyeshadow but I really cannot tell the difference from their metallic eyeshadow line from shine pearl eyeshadow line, other than the fact that this one contains less shimmer. It doesn't last long and hardly visible once it is spread out. I really don't know why I purchased this one (probably wanted to play mix and match with the colour) but I wouldn't use this eyeshadow for sure.

Quality: ☆ (0.5/5)

GBL01 ( Missha The Style Shine Pearl Shadow ) :

I have to confess that, yes, I purchased this one just because it was $2ish. My first impression was that it reminds me of Sleeping Beauty and I still think that (it's just my personal taste of cosmetics so please don't mind that!).

However, this eyeshadow has mid- to high-pigmentation, soft, and shimmery. I don't know if it lasts all day (I'm really afraid of trying it out) but what I know for sure is that this eyeshadow much better than GPP01.

Quality: ★★★☆ (3.5/5), just because of my taste in eyeshadows

BR02 ( Missha The Style Metallic Shadow ):
I was a bit disappointed with this eyeshadow only because it was too shimmery instead of metallic. However, other than that, I was still satisfied with the eyeshadow and loved it. Definitely long-lasting but I just didn't give it a try only because such shade (for me) works better in Fall/Winter. It is a really warm-toned brown and I didn't feel like I really need more shades that remind others of heat, warmth, and humidity. I really think people had enough :'( but I really love the shade. It would be one of the eyeshadows that I would recommend to others.

Quality:  ★★★★☆ (4.5/5), just because of my taste in eyeshadows

GL02 (Missha The Style Metallic Shadow ):

This eyeshadow is the one that you can see from the very right corner of the swatches from the bottom row.
Once you become a fan of KH01 and BR02, you would love this eyeshadow as well. I would, once again, say that the problem with these Missha metallic eyeshadows is that they are just TOO shimmery. However, if you don't mind that, you would probably favour this one.

Quality: ★★★☆ (3.5/5) it was too shimmery though.

Missha The Style Silky Shadow Duo No. 16 [Glam-Mood Khaki]:

This duo eyeshadow reminded me of "Glamoflage 03" from Sephora's eyeshadow collection although this one costed 2940WON ($2.50), which is more than six times less than Sephora's (and I thought Sephora's eyeshadows are cheap :P).

And the colours are goooooooorgeous. One is a metallic gold/bronzer shimmer and the other is moss green shimmer. While I'm obsessed with both shades, both satisfy me with high-pigmentation.

The glitters fall everywhere, but other than that, it works amazingly. For the glitters, what I do is that I wet my brushes before applying these eyeshadows and water holds the shimmer particles pretty well.

I'm 100% sure I'll purchase a back-up for this one (or purchase two back-ups). I really cannot make my mind when it comes to this eyeshadow and KH01. I absolutely cannot LIVE with these too.

Quality: ★★★★★ (5/5) and i wish i can give hundred more.
