[Mini-Haul] Drugstore items & swatches

Hello everyone!

I picked up several eyeliners and mascara... from drugstore! Few years ago, I had a minor allergic reaction after using a drugstore item and banned myself from using any drugstore item. However, I opened my heart just this past June and began trying some of the items.... none of them caused any allergic reaction yet.

So, here's what I got:

Maybelline's Volum'Express Mascara

Rimmel's Spark It Up! Gleaming Eye Darkening Liner in 610 Tiger's Eye

Rimmel's Spark It Up! Gleaming Eye Darkening Liner in 400 Lapis

Rimmel's Spark It Up! Gleaming Eye Darkening Liner in 500 Peridot

I was really disappointed with these because they turn into some weird shades through friction. They are also not water resistant.... how disappointing...

[Miscellaneous] Complains..

I was planning a trip to NY with my brother and my mom but we couldn't do so because of my brother's co-op place where they asked my brother to stay a bit longer than what they have required before. UGHHHHH!

No more shopping in NY! NOOOOOOOOO----

[Chanel] Illusion D'Ombre from Chanel Fall 2011 Make-Up Collection

Chanel has been my main source of inspiration when it comes to make-up: Elegant and feminine but also confident and proud. Their Illusion D'Ombre Ad was no exception.

I really wished to run to Chanel to purchase this eyeshadow but it costed $67ish in Korea so I had to wait until I come back.

I went to Chanel in Mississauga and tried each of the Illusion D'Ombre. I was going to purchase Illusoire (purple) but I ended up purchasing Epatant (khaki) instead.

loved the box.... <3

A small brush was also in the box... what a pleasant surprise!

I was very surprised with the size of this jumbo-sized eyeshadow. It costed twice as much as MAC eyeshadows but I obviously wasn't expecting much. However, this babe is huuuuuuuge.

Now, my first impression of this eyeshadow was that it looks grainy. It looked like handful of sand packed in pot. However, the product feels like JELL-O pudding in metallic version. It is very creamy and high-quality.

I had no choice but to enlarge these photos so that you can really feel the texture of this eyeshadow. These photos tell that it is not grainy, but rather, jell-o-like. Also shimmery and metallic, it hardens a bit so that it does not smudge all over the place.

Yes, this look came out after using ONE eyeshadow....yes, only ONE eyeshadow. Metallic eyeshadows really capture surrounding lights and makes the inner corners bright, giving that nice contrast with outer part of the eye.

I wore it shear so that it works for everyday look but I was advised to pack it on your eyelids, so we have options to choose from.

FYI, it lasted all day and gave absolutely no irritation whatsoever. After trying it out, I decided to purchase Illusoire in the near future.

That's it for the review :) Thank you and stay tuned for my upcoming MAC eyeshadow reviews!

[Haul] Chanel, MAC, Urban Decay, H&M, Garage, Icing by Claire's

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I posted my haul but here's my latest one I did in Mississauga (Square One).

M.A.C Cosmetics

I purchased three eyeshadows and a eye shadow brush. My new eyeshadow obsession has been metallic due to the new Chanel ad (Illusion D'Ombre) and Urban Decay's 15-Year Anniversary Palette.

I'll do swatches and review soon :)

 Urban Decay

I purchased Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I was expecting a bottled version of this primer, so I was partly disappointed but still purchased it anyway :D

Chanel

As I mentioned, my obsession has been metallic (or luminous, in this case) eyeshadows and Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre ad has blown my mind. However, this eyeshadow was much more expansive in Korea and I had no choice but to wait until I come back.

Garage

I purchased this one out of nowhere...... but I'm still into vintage :)

 Icing by Claire's

I've always wanted a watch necklace but this one actually operates! I was very impressed :)......with its efficiency and price ($21+tax).....

Some may now be able to tell that I'm obsessed with hairbands..

I totally had to purchase this one.... ohemgee.

I know this is very random but I purchased this out of nowhere... and I don't know why I bought it :(

H&M

I code clothes with many jewelries so I really have to minimize the details or patterns.
I thought of coding this navy top with a scarf from Garage and maybe with the watch necklace :)

This is also from H&M. Each was $10ish but looked amazing in the display so purchased it. I'll wear skinny jean.

I'm having an important meeting at school so I purchased this to match it with a skirt.

And random scarf obsession...

So this will be it for my haul :)
I think I'll buy one or two more of Illusion D'Ombres and will be them asap if I get to purchase them.
Until then, I'll post my swatches & review on Illusion D'Ombre soon!
